Our long list of projects and fortune 100 clients have made us specialists in command and control rooms and control buildings promoting high quality, longevity designs that promote healthy 24/7 work environments. Our typical control buildings consist of more than just a control room, our control suites are designed to allow for collaboration areas, administration offices, conference rooms, break rooms, and extended work areas. All these elements combined make a functional, collaborative, and productive facility.

Nine feet of storm surge decimated this control center during hurricane Ike’s rampage. The building was completely flooded: SLA redesigned the interior in three days, and received approval in another 3, and the reconstruction effort was completed in twelve weeks, well ahead of the client’s expected outcome, but on the nose with their needs. See accompanying Case Study.

Modularity benefits of pre-manufactured structural elements, and a building sized to allow for future expansion, this design separates interior office staff from exterior plant personnel to help minimize cleaning/reduce wear and tear on the structure. Access for exterior persons is controlled through the design configuration, yet allows office/plant personnel to collaborate as required to optimize the plant functions. In design 2009-10.

A pair of control structures sharing many design commonalities were designed for a synthetic fuel facility. The modularity of the design allows for an economy of scale approach to the overall project, which will entail replication of the two facilities on the opposite side of the. The structures embody the culture, materials, textures, and colors of the region.
