This 1,000 sf Quality Control building plays an integral part in the operations of the natural gas refinery it serves. Features include blast-resistant design, a fume hood, gas chromatograph, safety shower, Class I, Division 2 electrical design, and full restroom facilities for workers in the heart of the refinery.

Housed in one of two Field Information Centers, the lab offers direct access to quality control systems for the plant while providing space for technicians and field operators to communicate and collaborate on pertinent chemistry and operational issues. In design 2009-10.

Blast Resistant Design

Applying principles that encourage and allow visibility of lab technicians working at any location within the lab. To connect technicians to the exterior from this windowless environment, the space embraces the local culture through the use of local photographic images as murals, and displays for historic laboratory equipment offer an interesting atmosphere, and design detailing found in the connected Refinery Operations Center are continued here.
